Distribution. This species is native in tropics and subtropics including Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Central and S America and Cuba. It is also reported as an immigrant in S Sweden, S Belgium and Crimea. Residency of this species in the Canary Islands, Turkey, Armenia and Cyprus is not clear ( Slamka 2013). This species is also reported from Iran including Bushehr (Bushehr), Fars (Cherom and Shiraz), Hormozgan (Sarzeh), and Khuzestan (Ahwaz) Provinces ( Amsel 1949, 1961).
