Distribution. Holarctic; first record for Ukraine.

Taxonomical remark. This species has been described as Mesochorus amplitudinis ( Schwenke, 1999) , but was synonymized with M. punctipleuris by Horstmann (2002: 87). It is characterized by the yellowish mid coxa; yellow basally and only narrowly infuscate apically hind tibia and rather short ovipositor sheath (0.80–0.85 × as long as hind metatarsus).
