COMMENT: Includes Lipotes , Iniidae , and Pontoporiidae (Stenodelphinidae) ; see Rice, 1977; but also see Pilleri and Gihr, 1977, Invest. Cetacea , 8: 11 -76, and Pilleri and Gihr, 1980, Invest. Cetacea , 11:33-36. Zhou et al., 1979, Acta Zool. Sin., 25(2):95-100, placed Lipotes in a separate family, Lipotidae . RLB, DWR and JGM include the above as subfamilies of Platanistidae .
