Diagnosis (see Aoki (1958), Balogh & Balogh (1992)).
Lamellae large, divided by the transverse ridge into two parts mediodistally. Translamella present (rarely indistinct). Rostral setae simple, inserting on lamellae. Lamellar setae phylliform. Interlamellar setae setiform (exception: weakly dilated medially), inserted in interlamellar region on basal part of prodorsum. Sensilli setiform, with spines (exception: clavate). Tutorium lineate or triangular distally. Fourteen or fifteen pairs of setiform, notogastral setae present, widely distributed on notogaster. Notogaster with apophyses, located in two or four longitudinal lines. Humeral regions without or with one pair of notogastral setae (c 3). Posterior of notogaster with five pairs of notogastral setae (h 1, h 3, p 1– p 3). Epimeral setal formula 3–1–3–3. Four pairs of genital, one pair of aggenital, two pairs of anal and three pairs of adanal setae present. Tarsi on legs with one claw.
