3. Ixodes acutitarsus ( Karsch, 1880) View in CoL . An Oriental and Palearctic species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , while larvae and nymphs are commonly collected from Rodentia : Cricetidae , Muridae and Sciuridae . Adults and nymphs have been collected from Carnivora : Felidae ; adults alone have been recovered from Artiodactyla (several families), Carnivora : Ursidae , and rarely from Passeriformes : Corvidae ; larvae alone have been found on Soricomorpha : Soricidae . Ixodes acutitarsus is a frequent parasite of humans.
