Note: the male of Ixodes lasallei described in Kohls and Clifford (1966) in fact corresponds to the male of Ixodes bocatorensis , as explained in Apanaskevich and Bermúdez (2017) when describing the male of Ixodes lasallei . Guglielmone et al. (2014) treated as provisionally valid records of the undescribed larva and nymph of Ixodes lasallei , but this position changed after the closely related Ixodes bocatorensis was described, especially since both species share hosts and have similar distributions, casting doubt on the specific status of immature stages.
