237. Ixodes trianguliceps Birula, 1895 .

A Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia : Cricetidae and Muridae , and Soricomorpha : Soricidae and Talpidae ; adults and nymphs have been recovered from Rodentia : Myocastoridae ; adult ticks alone have been collected from Carnivora : Canidae , Galliformes : Phasianidae , and Passeriformes : Fringillidae ; nymphs and larvae have been recovered from Rodentia : Sciuridae , and Passeriformes : Turdidae ; nymphs alone have been taken from Carnivora : Felidae , and Squamata : Lacertidae ; while larvae alone have been found on Chiroptera : Vespertilionidae , and Passeriformes : Motacillidae ( Guglielmone & Robbins 2018, Davies et al. 2017). Ixodes trianguliceps is a very rare parasite of humans.
