N: Arthur (1965)
L: Arthur (1965)
Note: Matthysse and Colbo (1987) state that females of Ixodes ugandanus collected during their study show important taxonomic differences in coxal spurring in relation to the female of this species described in Arthur (1965). However, Arthur’s (1965) description of the spurring of female Ixodes ugandanus is in agreement with Neumann (1906) ; therefore, the female of Ixodes ugandanus in Matthysse and Colbo (1987) is of uncertain specific status, and redescriptions by the latter authors are not included in the above lists.
