An Australasian species whose larvae, nymphs and adults are frequently found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , and Diprotodontia : Macropodidae , but all parasitic stages of Amblyomma triguttatum have also been found on Artiodactyla : Suidae , and Perissodactyla : Equidae . Adults and nymphs have been recovered from Carnivora : Canidae ; adult ticks alone have been collected from Diprotodontia : Phascolarctidae and Potoroidae , and Monotremata : Tachyglossidae ; nymphs and larvae have been found on Lagomorpha : Leporidae ; nymphs alone have been taken from Squamata : Scincidae ; and larvae alone have been found on Rodentia : Muridae ( Krige et al. 2017, Guglielmone & Robbins 2018). Amblyomma triguttatum is a frequent parasite of humans. M: Neumann (1899)
