A Neotropical species whose adults and nymphs have been found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , and Perissodactyla : Equidae ; adults alone have been recovered from Perissodactyla : Tapiridae ; nymphs alone have been collected from Carnivora : Canidae . Amblyomma hadani is a sporadic parasite of humans.
