5. Rhipicephalus arnoldi Theiler and Zumpt, 1950 in Zumpt (1950 View in CoL , usually cited as published in 1949).
An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Lagomorpha : Leporidae ; larvae and nymphs are also commonly recovered from Macroscelidea : Macroscelididae , and Hyracoidea : Procaviidae . All parasitic stages have been collected from Hyracoidea : Procaviidae ; adults alone have been taken from Artiodactyla : Bovidae ; Perissodactyla : Equidae , and Rodentia (unknown family), while nymphs and larvae have also been found on Carnivora : Felidae , and Rodentia : Muridae (Guglielmone et al. 2014, Horak et al. 2018) There are no records of Rhipicephalus arnoldi causing human parasitism.
