M: Neumann (1908a) , under the name Rhipicentor vicinus, Theiler (1961) , Horak et al. (2018)
F: Theiler (1961), Horak et al. (2018)
L: none
Note: Bedford (1934) described the larva of Rhipicentor nuttalli , but Theiler (1961) did not recognize it. There are some obvious morphological differences between both descriptions, but Theiler (1961) described the larva from laboratory-reared material. The description of Bedford (1934) is excluded from the above list.
