Comments: The holotype of E. (E.) platynota has strongly narrowed elytral bases and the glabrous pronotum lacking median antebasal fovea and antebasal sulcus that are consistent with members of the genus Gastrobothrus . Here we formally transfer this species from Eupines to Gastrobothrus .
