According to Smiley’s (1992) description and figures the characteristics of this taxon are as follows: striae of propodosoma forming 2 shields; propodosomal sensillae setose. Setae c2 present. Setae sci one-half the length of setae ve. Hysterosomal dorsal striae with dot-like lobes. Setae f2 absent. Palp segment II with five setae; distal segment subtriangular with stout spine-like apophysis and terminating in a small claw. Setae hg1 stout, blade–like. Trichobothrium tibiae IV present.
