Type species: Cunaxoides oribensis Den Heyer, 1981b .
Diagnosis. This genus can be distinguished from other genera by the following characteristics: tibia IV with only 4 sts and lacking a trichobothrium; tibiae III with at least 1 bsl and 5 sts; seta c2 plumose or fanshaped and depression for pe organ on tarsus I lacking.
Etymology. The name is derived by adding a few letters to the stem-“..unax..” and ending it on a taxonomically recognized suffix.
