Etymology. Dedicated to the Guane indigenous people, who inhabited the Zapatoca municipality and the municipalities of Los Santos, Jordán and Cabrera, up to the junction of the Charalá or Fonce and Suárez or Saravita rivers, in the department of Santander, Colombia. The Guane were particularly indigenous, as they had Caucasoid features, such as fair skin and taller than the average of the other Pre-columbian Indigenous.

Description.
Male. In addition to the characters mentioned for the generic description; body covered by abundant hairs, being longer on the legs and abdominal sternites; on the tergites and wings the hairs are shorter, on the wings, the hairs have a texture like velvet. Coloration. Pale yellow, purple eyes, dorsal surface of the head from the vertex to the fastigium brown, as well as the dorsal surface of the abdominal tergites from the first to the sixth ( Fig. 1A, B View FIGURE 1 ).
Head. Space between the lateral groove of the fastigium and the dorsal margin of the eye sockets with depression or cleft ( Fig. 2B, C View FIGURE 2 ), maxillary and labial palps with the apex naked, without cuticle cover, mainly towards the lateral-internal margin of the palps ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 A-C). Pronotum. Smooth and shiny, with all edges wavy, anterior edge partially covering head. Medial sulcus of pronotal disc short, poorly dividing the pronotum ( Fig. 2C, D View FIGURE 2 ). Legs. Hind femur armed with five spines of moderate size on each ventral margin, placed from the middle of the femur towards the apex. The inner face of the hind femur with a fold in the dorsal margin, this fold is made up of small granules or denticulations very close together, these structures are used for the drumming of the specimen. Hind tibia with six outer-dorsal spines and four inner-dorsal spines; ventral margin with a pre-apical spur on each side. Wings. R vein bifurcated near at apex, as same as Rs vein; MA vein born near at the base of R vein. MP vein branching from vein CuA1 and CuA2 present; CuP vein without ramifications ( Fig. 2E View FIGURE 2 ). Abdomen. Stridulatory apparatus with four vertical rows of small teeth on each side of the abdomen, two rows in the first abdominal segment and two rows in the second one; the second row of the first abdominal segment has more conspicuous teeth than the other rows of small teeth ( Fig. 2C View FIGURE 2 ). The ninth tergite covering the tenth tergite (Fig. 3A), each lobe of the ninth tergite expanding moderately sideways, denticulations of the posterior border of each lobe thick, pointed and sclerotized. Tenth tergite with two small and sclerosed hooks in the middle of the posterior edge, the hook’s curve outward (Fig. 3B). Subgenital plate rectangular, longer than wide, with two rounded distal undulations, and in the middle of these a small U-shaped notch (Fig. 3C). Phallic complex. Dorsal lobe (dl) rounded and mid-sized (Fig. 3D); ldl and up.vl. located sideways and surrounding ti; lw.vl. cylindrical and elongated (Fig. 3E, F).
Female. Unknown.
