Hyatt’s name is not an available name (as it has a fourth name, ICZN art. 45.5). There are no references to the identity, other than that Spongia vermiculata Duchassaing & Michelotti, 1864 View in CoL is a junior synonym of Spongia (Spongia) barbara Duchassaing & Michelotti, 1864 View in CoL . I propose to assign this material from Fernando de Noronha, off Brazil, to that species, until the material has been re-examined.
