Notes
The new species Scolelepis neglecta Surugiu, 2016 was described after re-examination of Mediterranean material which was previously identified as Scolelepis squamata (O.F. Müller, 1806) and Scolelepis cantabra ( Surugiu 2016). Reports of Scolelepis cantabra from Greece could therefore also comprise specimens of Scolelepis neglecta .
