DIAGNOSIS: Eidolosaurus trauthi , Tethysaurus nopcsai , and Mosasauridae form a clade diagnosed by 288(1) lack of distinction between the distal femoral condyles and 289(1) femur flattened and shortened such that the ends are more than one-quarter the length of the ends.
