Common name: Edward ’ s Long-tailed Giant Rat
Myanmar name:
Distribution: China, Vietnam and Northern Myanmar (recorded in Hukaung Valley WS).
Remarks: L. edwardsi is distributed in western and central China only, thus, the species in Myanmar could possibly be another cryptic species distributed throughout the southern China ( Li et al. 2019). Further taxonomic identification for this species is needed in Myanmar.
