Taxonomic synonym: Pseudochantransia jogensis Iyengar ex Desikachary (in Desikachary, Krishnamurthy & Balakrishnan) Ott, 2009, pp. 378, 690.
Distribution in India: Karnataka (in a freshwater stream near Jog Falls).
Notes: Krishnamurthy & Baluswami (2000) validated this species with a Latin diagnosis and icono-lectotype from figure 13 in Desikachary et al. (1990). Presumably Iyengar’s original collection or the holotype no longer exists.
