Distribution in India: Maharashtra (Kas, Satara district, Western Ghat s in shaded areas of a stream).
Notes: Both Chaugule (1980) and Desikachary et al. (1990) pointed out the similarity of this species to Kumanoa iyengarii and K. kylinii , but they differed apparently in some vegetative and reproductive features.
