Diagnosis: Meidiamidae with a single pair of testes and the pharynx in the anterior part of the body. Copulatory organ with a pair of short atrial needles sitting on a muscular base. Without stylet and accessory glandular organ. Seminal vesicles paired or single. With or without prepenial vagina. Genitointestinal connection absent?
Type species: Serrula byronensis sp. nov.
