D i s t r i b u t i o n o u t s i d e I r a n: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia- Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lithuania, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, U.K, former Yugoslavia ( SHENEFELT 1973; YU et al. 2012), Turkey ( LOZAN 2005).

H o s t r e c o r d: TOBIAS & SHAW (2005) reported the larvae of Anthophila fabriciani (L.) ( Lepidoptera : Choreutidae ) and the cocoons of Prochoreutis mytterana (FABRICIUS) ( Lepidoptera : Choreutidae ), and some other microlepidopteran species belonging to different families including, Gelechiidae , Simaethidae , Arejyresthiidae, Coleophoridae , Tortricidae , Tischeriidae , Plutellidae , Choreutidae and Cosmopterigidae as the hosts of C. contractus . Also, BEHDAD (1991) and MODARRES AWAL (1997) reported this species as a parasitoid of Scorbipalpa ocellatella (BOYD) ( Lepidoptera : Gelechiidae ) in Iran.
