Callilanguria Crotch 1876: 381 . Type species: Callilanguria luzonica Crotch, 1876 .
Redefinition. Medium-sized (length 10.3–27.5 mm). Head broader than front of prothorax; compound eyes large and prominent, finely faceted; antennae short, not reaching the base of the pronotum, the last four or five antennomeres dilated and with dense setae; pronotum convex, finely punctate, distinctly longer than broad, without lateral pronotal carina or only visible at the front and base; scutellar shield pentagonal, apex more or less acute. Elytra long and slender, tapering from base to extremities; elytral epipleura absent or not complete; apex of elytra truncated, sometimes denticulate; procoxal cavities narrowly open posteriorly; the first visible abdominal ventrite without a pair of coxal lines; the last ventrite with dense black setae at the apex; the basal three joints of tarsi widened; in the male, profemur and mesofemur granulated at the base and pronotum more constricted at the front than that of female.
Diagnosis. This genus closely resembles the Asian genus Doubledaya but can be distinguished by the characters mentioned in the Introduction.
Distribution. The genus Callilanguria has a typically tropical distribution, having been recorded from the Philippine Islands, Borneo and Sumatra.
