Callilanguria gorhami Villiers 1945: 218 . Type locality: Sumatra, Benkoelen. Type depository: MNHN .
Remarks. Body length: 12.1–15.5 mm. There are three specimens in MNHN, including the holotype. Villiers (1945) described this species as “Noir, élytres noir-bleu”. In fact, under natural light, the head and pronotum are dark red, not pure black. Additionally, the procoxal cavities are narrowly open, almost closed, and the apex of the elytra are truncated, without denticles. There are two specimens with the same locality label in the same box: one is a male, the other is a female, and both of them have lost the antennae. The body size is relatively small for a Callilanguria .
Type specimens examined. Holotype: female ( MNHN), “ SUMATRA, Reg. de Benkoelen , Mme. M. E. Walsh, 1935 \ TYPE [red label] \ MUSEUM PARIS, 1952, COLL R OBERTHUR \ Callilanguria gorhami n. sp., A. Villiers det.”
Additional specimens examined. Two specimens (1 male and 1 female) with the same data as the holotype are located in the same box, but they are not part of the type series.
