Habitat. Moist, clayey soils with calcareous substrate. Grasslands and deciduous forests.
Zoogeographical distribution type. Central European, peregrine.
Distribution in Croatia. Continental region, with the exception of one record from the Mosor mountain (Mediterranean region) (Mršić 1988). Šapkarev (1979): Beli Manastir, Orahovica, Osijek, Valpovo; Mršić (1984, 1988): Mosor, Prevlaka; Jelić (1985): Sakadaško jezero, Podunavlje; Hackenberger: Vojlovica (Papuk), Podvinje.
