Habitat. In humid soils rich in organic matter, mostly in forests under the litter. Zoogeographical distribution type. Peregrine species of Atlantic origin.
Distribution in Croatia. In western part of the Continental and Alpine regions. Rucner (1971): Cesargradska gora, Vukovo selo; Šapkarev (1979); Kapela; Mršić (1984, 1987b): Mokrice, Snježnik; Szederjesi (2013): Drenovac (Papuk), Vilić selo.
