Ecological category. Endogeic.
Habitat. Synanthropic species, common in pastures, anthropogenic soils, gardens, forests.
Zoogeographical distribution type. Peregrine.
Distribution in Croatia. One of the most common earthworm species in Croatia, found in all three regions, but with only one record in the Alpine region.
