Genus Anachauliodes Kimmins

Anachauliodes Kimmins, 1954: 427 . Type species: Anachauliodes tonkinicus Kimmins, 1954: 428 , now regarded as a synonym of Anachauliodes laboissierei (Navás, 1913) (original designation).

Diagnosis. Fishflies of medium-sized (Forewing length 39–43 mm in males and 45–57 mm in females). Male antennae pectinate, female antennae subserrate. Wings slightly smoky brown; forewing with many grayish markings, which are much darkened at wing base and median portion, but sometimes largely reduced. Longitudinal veins alternately black and yellow. 1A three or four-branched. Male ninth tergum with arcuate anterior incision; ninth sternum semicircular, shorter than ninth tergum, posteriorly without membranous lobe; ectoproct broad, nearly as long as ninth tergum, distally incised into one small dorsal lobe with 3–4 small claws and one broad ventral lobe; tenth gonocoxite with broad lateral arms, and with median plate elevated dorsad, distally hook-like and curved dorsad. Female eighth gonocoxite broad, with posterior margin moderately produced; ninth gonocoxite broad without gonostyli; callus cerci strongly prominent; ectoproct strongly narrowed posterior to callus cerci.
