Type material (3 33, 3 ƤƤ). Holotype: 3, labeled ‘ CHINA: Guangxi Prov. / Hechi, Duan Co. / 4 km south to Xia’ao / an anonymous cave, 26.iv.2010 / L. Deharveng, A. Bedos / & M. Y. Tian leg. // [red label] HOLOTYPE (printed) / Tribasodites deharvengi Yin et Li (hand written) / SHNU Collections (printed)’. Paratypes: 2 33, 3 ƤƤ, same collecting data as holotype (1 3, 2 ƤƤ in SHNU, 1 3, 1 Ƥ in SCAU).

Description. General morphology similar to T. bedosae , major differences and measurements as follows:

Male. Body ( Fig. 2) reddish brown, tarsi and mouth parts paler. BL 2.57–2.74, HL 0.56–0.58, antennal club as in Fig. 5 View FIGURES 4 – 9 ; eyes fully developed, each with about 55–60 facets. PL 0.59–0.60, PW 0.56–0.59; median antebasal impression small and shallow, antebasal spines indistinct, discal spines small, about same size as marginal spines; paranotal carinae indistinct. EL 0.87–0.88, EW 0.90–0.94, rounded at lateral margins; disc normally convex. Thorax without paired humps on metaventrite. AL 0.55–0.68, AW 0.73–0.84; tergite IV with outer marginal carinae slightly constricted; tergite IV about same length as V–VII combined. Aedeagus ( Figs. 7. 9 View FIGURES 4 – 9 ) asymmetric, median lobe with shallow apical split, long parameres semi-membranous, fused with ventral at base, dorsal lobe broad, composed of several asymmetric sclerites.

Female. Similar to male in general; BL 2.62–2.68; each eye comprises about 13 facets; unmodified antennal clubs weakly indicated; tergite VIII ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 10 – 18 ) not folded ventrolaterally, sternite VIII ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 10 – 18 ) transverse; width of female genitalia ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 10 – 18 ) 0.27, with lateral arms short and membranous.

Distribution. The new species is only from the type locality.

Etymology. The species name is dedicated to Louis Deharveng, a French specialist in Collembola, who collected the type specimens.

Comparative notes. This species is close to Tribasodites bedosae in sharing a similar form of antennal clubs as discussed above. The fully-developed eye in the male, the discal spines being about same size as the marginal spines, the elytral disc being normally convex, the lateral margins of tergite IV being slightly constricted, and the aedeagus with a shallow apical split allow for a ready differentiation of T. deharvengi from T. bedosae .
