Holotype. 1 worker, GUATEMALA, Zacapa: 2km SE La Unión , 14.94714 −89.27679 ± 50m, 1550m, 12-May-2009, cloud forest, ex sifted leaf litter (LLAMA, Wa-B-03-1-37) [CASC, unique specimen identifier CASENT0644402] . PARATYPES: same data as holotype [brachypterous queen: CASC, USNM; worker: CASC, DZUP, JTLC, MCZC, UCD, UNAM, USNM, UVGC].
