Diagnosis

Forewing length 4.0–6.5 mm. This species is similar to A. comptana , but can be distinguished by the semicircular basal patch on the forewing ( Figure 15 View Figures 13–18 ); the cucullus with an obtusely right angle at base; and the cucullus broadened medially, concave at 2/3, and slightly expanded apically ( Figure 38 View Figures 38–43 ), and the scalariform sterigma ( Figure 59 View Figures 55–60 ). In A. comptana , the basal patch is triangular; the cucullus has an acutely right angle at base; the cucullus is broadened medially and gradually narrowed distally; and the sterigma is W-shaped.
