Vernacular Names: Lami Tuco-tuco.
Distribution: Coxilha das Lombas, from the type locality NE of Guaiba River nearly 80 km to SW banks of Barros Lake, Rio Grande do Sul, S Brazil.
Discussion: Karyotype has 2n=54-58 and FN=76-82.
