Current name: Malpighia glabra L. View in CoL ( Malpighiaceae ).

Note: Vivaldi (in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 67: 904. 1981) indicated 588.1 (LINN), a post-1753 addition to the herbarium, as type but it is not original material for the name.
