Remarks. Length: 8.3 ± 1 mm. According to Delgado & Capistan (1996), this species shares the following character states with the O. fuscus species complex: maximum body length less than 9 mm, brown dorsal color with metallic sheen, clypeus of the female elongate, middle tubercles on the pronotal prominence in the male absent, and apex of the parameres short and robust. Additionally, they mention that O. navarretorum shares with the O. chevrolati species complex the trapezoidal frontal carina and the shape of the prominence in the male. However the trapezoidal frontal carina and the trapezoidal pronotal prominence are not exclusive to the O. chevrolati species complex, but rather are also observed in species of the O. fuscus species complex ( O. canescens , O. clavijeroi , and O. orizabensis ). The length (<9 mm) is not actually a diagnostic character for the O. fuscus species complex, given that O. canescens , O. clavijeroi , O. orizabensis , O. parafuscus , and O. pseudofuscus are all sometimes longer. Taking into account the external morphological characters and those of the aedeagus, we decided to include O. navarretorum in the O. fuscus species complex, which is here considered morphologically similar to O. clavijeroi and O. orizabensis (see O. orizabensis affinities). These three species share characters such as the presence of two shiny elliptical impressions on the dorsal surface of the pronotum, the obtusely trapezoidal pronotal projection, and the subtrapezoidal frontal carina.
