Positive for arginine dihydrolase in API 20NE, but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, urease, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase and β -galactosidase. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, Dmannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid are utilized.
