Distribution. Austria, former Czechoslovakia, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Russia (European part, south of the Far East), Spain, and United Kingdom ( Yu et al. 2005).
Remarks. This species is rarely collected but, like its host, is widely distributed in the Palearctic Region. Males have the fore wing strongly narrowed with much reduced wing venation; the hind wing is strongly shortened. Females are macropterous.
