Scaphium quadraticolle Solsky

Remarks. This species was based on a specimen coming from the Sarafschan Valley, near Aksay, Uzbekistan ( Solsky 1874). Subsequently, it was recorded from a number of Asian localities by Heyden (1880, 1893, 1896), Jakobson (1910), Iablokoff-Khnzorian (1985), Löbl (1986, 1992) and Kompantsev & Pototskaya (1987). The larva of S. quadraticolle is described in the latter paper.

Natural history. Kompantsev & Pototskaya (1987) observed the larvae in living sporocarps of Agaricales . IL collected the species in Pakistan from sieved samples of moist forest leaf litter. The Pakistan sites are all from altitudes between 2000 and 3000 m above s. l.

Distribution range. North Afghanistan; Kazakhstan; Kyrgyzstan; North Pakistan; Tajikistan; Turkmenistan; Uzbekistan ( Löbl 2018).
