Sergioneris View in CoL gen. nov.
Type species. Lumbrineris nagae Gallardo, 1968 .
Etymology. This genus is named in honor of Sergio I. Salazar-Vallejo in recognition of his works with polychaetes; furthermore, as my mentor and friend he has invariably encouraged me in my research activities.
Diagnosis. Prostomium with one antenna, without eyes; notopodia slightly developed; without branchiae; simple multidentate hooded hooks present; pygidium with anal cirri; maxillary apparatus with four pairs of maxillae, carriers slightly shorter than MI, joined to entire base of MI, wide anteriorly and slender in middle and posterior end; MI forceps-like without internal accessory teeth, wide base, with attachment lamella; MII shorter than MI, with ligament, wide attachment lamella along 2/3 from posterior lateral edge; wide connecting plate strongly sclerotized from middle of MI to lateral edge of MII; narrow incomplete connecting plate, from base of MI but not reaching base of MII. MIII and MIV completely pigmented, both with wide attachment lamella along entire lateral edge. Mandibles with shaft partially separated at posterior end.
