The species under consideration belongs to Crepidodera based on a combination of the following characters: (1) frontal ridge narrow and sharp, (2) antennal calli narrow, contiguous, and well separated from vertex by supracallinal sulcus, (3) pronotum with antebasal transverse sulcus and longitudinal impressions, (4) elytra with punctures arranged in regular striae, (5) procoxal cavities closed posteriorly, (6) pronotum and elytra glabrous, (7) metatarsomere 1 short, and (8) tarsal claws appendiculate.
