Original material: Herb. Linn. No. 1219.8 ( LINN) .

Current name: Valantia articulata L. ( Rubiaceae ).

Note: The collection (1219.10 LINN) which was designated as the type by Jelenevsky & Kuranova (in Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 32: 160. 2000) lacks the relevant Species Plantarum number (i.e. “3”), and is apparently a post-1753 addition to the collection, and not original material for the name.
