Comments. Yan et al. (2023) reinstated the species-level status of M. tenuevittata and treated M. sonthianae Breuning, 1963 as its synonym. Two specimens (1 male and 1 female, Figure 9a–f ) were identified as M. sonthianae in the NHM main collection, and all 11 specimens in Gilmour’s collection were identified as M. sonthianae .

‘Houei Sai’ (alternatively Houayxay, Huoeisay or Huay Xai) is a district in Bokeo Province, Laos near the border with Thailand.
