Soyedina calcarea Grubbs 2006:43 View in CoL . Holotype ♂ (INHS), small spring-fed stream, 7.5 km NW Bonnieville, Hart Co., Kentucky, USA
Distribution. USA: KY ( DeWalt et al. 2019).
Material examined. USA, Kentucky, Edmonson Co., springhead to Wet Prong, Wet Prong Trail , Mammoth Cave National Park , 37.23370, -86.17434, 2 February 2019, T.C. McRoberts, 4 males, 1 female ( WKUC) GoogleMaps ; tributary to Green River, McCoy Hollow Trail, Mammoth Cave National Park , 37.21605, -86.21944, 28 January 2019, T.C. McRoberts, 5 males, 1 female ( WKUC) GoogleMaps ; Hart Co., spring, 7.5 km NW Bonnieville , 37.41048, -85.98229, 9 March 2000 (reared), S.A. Grubbs, 1 male, 4 females (paratypes; WKUC) GoogleMaps ; same but 27 February 2003, S.A. Remarks. Adults were described and illustrated in Grubbs (2006); the larva remains undescribed. The combination of the asymmetric dorsal ( Figs. 9–11, 14 View FIGURES 9–16 ) and ventral sclerites ( Figs. 9–10 View FIGURES 9–16 ), plus the inner epiproct member that is flanged and directed laterally with the flange lip enlarged apically ( Figs. 10–13 View FIGURES 9–16 ), aligns this species closely with S. alexandria and S. vallicularia .
Soyedina calcarea is currently known from only from the Mammoth Cave region of central Kentucky ( Fig. 79 View FIGURE 79 ). This species has recently been collected from several seeps and spring runs within Mammoth Cave National Park.
