Types. SE India, NE Indian Ocean, Chennai (Madras): Holotype: BPBM 40986, 111 mm SL, F/ V Meena Gaveshini, depth 73 m (40 fathoms), otter trawl; paratype: BPBM 20658, 110 mm SL, landed at beach by fisherman.
