Genus Leucocraspedum Kraatz, 1859
Leucocraspedum Kraatz, 1859: 51 (original description; type species: Leucocraspedum pulchellum Kraatz, 1859 ); Fenyes, 1921: 314 (diagnosis, list of species); Bernhauer & Scheerpeltz, 1926: 501 (catalogue); Cameron, 1939: 5 (diagnosis).
Comments. This genus is easily distinguished from other genera of Japanese Aleocharinae by the following states: body limuloid, hairy; head strongly deflexed and concealed under pronotum; large, long, erect black macrosetae scattered on abdomen; and 5-5-5 tarsal formula.
