Diagnosis of male. Body almost glabrous, abdomen covered with sparse setae; frons with complete subantennal transverse sulcus; antennomeres IX as long as wide, XI lengthily elongate; pronotum with shallow median antebasal fovea and distinct basal impression; all tibiae slender; protrochanters protuberant ventrally, profemora simple, protibiae lacking protuberance, mesotibiae lacking apical spur; tergite IV with narrow basal sulcus, discal carinae relatively short, moderately close, with relatively short marginal carinae; aedeagus relatively elongate.
Description. Male ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 B). Body yellowish brown, length 2.02‒2.06 mm. Head rectangular, slightly longer than wide, HL 0.45‒0.47 mm, HW 0.43‒0.44 mm, vertex glabrous, apical margin of frons and clypeus sparsely pubescent; vertex moderately convex, with pair of distinct vertexal foveae; antennal tubercles low; frons flattened and broad, subantennal transverse sulcus complete, anterior margin of U-shaped vertexal sulcus merging with subantennal transverse sulcus and connecting foveae; each eye composed of about 30 facets; antennae relatively thin, antennomeres III–VII slightly elongate, VIII and IX as long as wide, X slightly transverse, XI largest and elongate, widest at basal third; median gular carina narrow, with two separated nude gular foveae. Pronotum slightly wider than long, PL 0.38 mm, PW 0.45‒0.47 mm, with shallow median antebasal fovea and complete basal impression. Elytra wider than long, EL 0.55 mm, EW 0.72‒0.74 mm, each elytron with two shallow foveae at base. Protrochanters protuberant at ventral margin ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 O). Abdomen slightly wider than long, AL 0.63‒0.66 mm, AW 0.65‒0.67 mm, slightly expanded at base; tergite IV (first visible tergite) sparsely pubescent, with narrow basal sulcus; discal carinae relatively short and close, extending to one-third of tergal length, width between carinae 0.25 mm at apices; marginal carinae extending to apical one-third of tergal length. Aedeagus ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 A‒C) 0.31 mm in length, relatively elongate, parameres distinctly exceeding apex of median lobe, apex flattened, each with three thick apical setae; endophallus with two pairs of symmetric, elongate sclerites and weakly sclerotized structures.
Female. Similar to male in general appearance; protrochanters simple; each eye composed of about 30 facets. Measurements: BL 2.04‒2.35 mm; HL 0.44‒0.47 mm; HW 0.43‒0.45 mm; PL 0.39‒0.42 mm; PW 0.40‒0.50 mm; EL 0.52‒0.65 mm; EW 0.74‒0.85 mm; AL 0.69‒0.81 mm; AW 0.66‒0.79 mm; width between discal carinae of tergite IV 0.25‒0.30 mm at apices.
Comparative notes. Batraxis longicornis can be readily separated from all other congeners by the strongly elongate antennomeres XI and form of the aedeagus.
Distribution. China: Yunnan ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 ).
Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the elongate antennomeres XI.
