Remarks. The species is fairly similar to Metaphire dawydovi Michaelsen, 1934b in having three pairs of spermathecal pores and simple intestinal caeca, but can be distinguished by the position of the first dorsal pore and morphology of genital markings in the male region ( Nguyen 1993). Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ", but no further examination was made to confirm its taxonomic status due to lack of available specimens and apparent loss of the type specimens.
