Diagnosis. Comments. M. dos and M. laphygmae share the following combination of characters: mandible strongly twisted, occipital carina complete, notauli not distinct, dorsopes absent, ventral borders of first tergite joined completely along basal ½ of segment and short ovipositor. M. dos can be separated from M. laphygmae by having larger ocelli, ocelli ocular distance 0.3–0.8 x ocellar diameter, larger eyes, head height 1.2–1.3 x eye height, and its unusual color pattern of dark brown and white patches on mesosoma and metasoma ( Zitani et al. 1998).

Distribution. This species is known in Costa Rica from San Jose Province ( Zitani et al. 1998). In Colombia it has been recorded from Magdalena Department, Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta National Natural Park, a high andean wet forest, 2200 m elevation; from the Risaralda Department, Otún Quimbaya Flora and Fauna Sanctuary, a high andean wet forest, 1960–2050 m elevation; and from the Meta Department, 467 m elevation.

Comments. M. farallonensis shares with M. alejandromasisi the follows characters: mandible strongly twisted, tarsal claw with large lobe; dorsopes absent; ventral borders of first tergite joined completely along basal ½ of segment. M. farallonensis can be differentiated from M. alejandromasisi by the following characters: black head, testaceous mesosoma, second submarginal cell strongly narrowed anteriorly, wings infuscated, most of hind coxa dark brown, and contrasting patches of dark brown and yellow-testaceous on the metasoma.

Meteorus gigas Aguirre, Shaw & Jones, 2010
Diagnosis. Mandible not twisted; ocelli small, ocelli ocular distance 2–2.4 x ocellar diameter; 31–32 flagellomeres; occipital carina complete; notauli distinct; wings slightly pigmented; propodeum with a distinct median and transverse carina creating very large, defined aerolae; hind coxa punctate and polished; tarsal claw simple; dorsopes absent; ventral borders of first tergite separated basally and joined apically; long ovipositor, ovipositor 2.6–3.8 x longer than first tergite.
Comments. M. gigas and M. megalops share the following combination of characters: mandible not twisted, ocelli small, occipital carina complete, notauli distinct, tarsal claw simple, dorsopes absent, and ventral borders of first tergite separated basally and joined apically. M. gigas can be separated from M. megalops by larger body length, antenna with 30–34 flagellomeres, metapleuron rugose, and first tergite smooth and polished or slightly costate.
Material examined: Since its recent description no more specimens have been found in Colombia.
Distribution. In Colombia it is recorded from Huila Department, Cueva de los Guacharos National Natural Park, andean and high andean wet forests, 1950–2100 m elevation; Santander Department, Tamá National Natural Park, andean cloud forest, 2213 m elevation. In Ecuador it is recorded from Napo Province, Yanayacu Biological Station, an andean cloud forest, 2163 m altitude ( Aguirre et al. 2010).

Comments. M. guacharensis shares with M. amazonensis and M. muiscai the following combination of characters: mandible not twisted, ocelli small, parallel and protuberant eyes, occipital carina complete, notauli distinct, hind coxa punctate and polished, tarsal claw simple, dorsopes present, ventral borders of first tergite widely separated and long ovipositor. M. guacharensis can be separated from M. muiscai by having a shorter ovipositor which is 2.6 x longer than first tergite, central lobe of mesoscutum smooth and polished, scutellar furrow with three carinae, metapleuron smooth, and contrasting dark brown and yellow patches on mesosoma, metasoma and legs. M. guacharensis can be separated from M. amazonensis by having larger eyes, head height 1.8 x eye height, temples shorter, temples length 0.9 x eyes length in dorsal view, vein 1M 1.2 x length of cu-a, antenna with 23 flagellomeres and mesopleuron puncticulate and polished.

Comments. M. guineverae shares with M. caquetensis the following characters: mandible moderately twisted, occipital carina complete, propodeum carinate-rugose, tarsal claw with large lobe, and a long ovipositor, almost 3 times the first tergite length. M. guineverae can be separated from M. caquetensis by ocelli larger, ocelli ocular distance 1.4 x ocellar diameter, wings hyaline, dorsope present, and ventral borders of first tergite widely separated.

M. huilensis can be separated from the latter two by the more convergent eyes, head yellow-testaceous, wings infuscated, and distinctive dark brown and yellow color pattern on mesosoma, metasoma and legs.

Mandible moderately twisted; ocelli large, ocelli ocular distance 1.4 x ocellar diameter; convergent eyes, maximum face width 1.7 x minimum face width; notauli distinct; wings hyaline; propodeum carinate-rugose; hind coxa rugose; tarsal claw with small lobe; dorsopes present; ventral borders of first tergite widely separated; long ovipositor, ovipositor 3.3 x longer than first tergite.
Body color. Body with black, testaceous and yellow patches; antennae dark brown; wings hyaline.
Body length. 4.3 mm.

Comments. M. iguaquensis shares with M. quimbayensis and M. andreae the following combination of characters: mandible moderately twisted, eyes large and convergent, notauli distinctive, dorsopes present, ventral borders of first tergite widely separated and long ovipositor. M. iguaquensis can be separated from M. andreae by having occipital carina complete and a rugose-punctate hind coxa. M. iguaquensis can be separated from M. quimbayensis by having smaller and less convergent eyes, head height 1.5x the eye height, ocelli ocular distance 1.4 x ocellar diameter, antenna with 23 flagellomeres, and frons rugulose.

Biology. In Colombia it has been recorded as parasitoid of Ceramidia viridis (Druce) (Ctenuchidae) , Trichoplusia sp. (Noctuidae) , Laphygma frugiperda (Smith) (Noctuidae) , Prodenia sp. (Noctuidae) , and Spodoptera frugiperda (Smith) (Noctuidae) . M. mariamartae can be separated from M. megalops and M. gigas by its smaller body length and hind coxa yellow. M. mariamartae can be separated from M. yamijuanum by eyes less convergent, ocelli smaller, ocelli ocular distance 2.3–3.3 x ocellar diameter, antenna with 20–23 flagellomeres, flagellum with two white bands, notauli linear and converging posterioly in a distinct V-shape.

M. megalops can be separated from M. mariamartae and M. yamijuanum by having larger body length and hind coxa black-dark brown. M. muiscai can be separated from M. guacharensis by having only one carina on the scutellar furrow, metapleuron rugose, longer ovipositor, ovipositor 2.8 x longer than the first tergite, and by having body entirely black.

Mesosoma . Pronotum in lateral view carinate rugulose; propleuron smooth and polished; notauli distinct and foveolate; mesonotal lobes well defined; central lobe of mesoscutum smooth; scutellar furrow with one carina; mesopleuron smooth; sternaulus long, narrow and foveolate; metapleuron finely rugulose; propodeum carinate rugose with distinct longitudinal and transverse carinae; median longitudinal carina on propodeum present; median depression on propodeum absent.
Legs. Hind coxa rugose punctuate; tarsal claw with small lobe.
Wings. Wing length 3.5 mm; vein r 0.6 x length of 3Rsa; vein 3RSa 0.8 x length of rm; vein m-cu antefurcal; vein 1M 1.6 x length of cu-a; vein 1M 1.8 x length of 1r-m.
Metasoma. Dorsope present; ventral borders of first tergite widely separated; first tergite with costae convergent; long ovipositor, ovipositor 3.6 x longer than first tergite.
Female variation. Body color frons, genae and area around the eyes yellow; metathoracic legs with coxa ventrally, trochanter and distal half of femur yellow; T3–T8 light brown, sternite 5–8 light brown; body length 3.3–4 mm; antenna with 26–28 flagellomeres; occipital carina complete or incomplete; ocelli ocular distance 1.7–2.3 x ocellar diameter; head height 1.3–1.4 x eye height; temples length 0.4–0.5 x eyes length in dorsal view; maximum face width 1.9–2 x minimum face width; face punctate or puncticulate-rugulose; minimum face width 0.5–0.6 x clypeus width; clypeus smooth and polished or puncticulate; malar space length 0.2–0.4 x mandible width basally; pronotum in lateral view carinate rugulose or carinate finely rugulose; propleuron smooth and polished or puncticulate; central lobe of mesoscutum smooth or punctate and polished; mesopleuron smooth or puncticulate and polished; sternaulus foveolate or foveolate-rugulose; propodeum carinate-rugose with distinct longitudinal and transverse carinae; median carina on propodeum present or absent; wing length 3–3.7 mm; vein r 0.5–0.7 x length of 3Rsa; vein 3RSa 0.7–0.9 x length of rm; vein 1M 0.6–1.6 x length of cu-a; vein 1M 0.9–1.8 x length of 1r-m; first tergite with costae convergent or rugulose-costate; ovipositor 3–4 x longer than first tergite.
Comments. M. quimbayensis shares with M. andreae and M. iguaquensis the following combination of characters: mandible moderately twisted eyes large and convergent, notauli distinct, dorsopes present, ventral borders of first tergite widely separated and long ovipositor. M. quimbayensis can be separated from M. andreae by hind coxa rugose-punctate. M. quimbayensis can be separated from M. iguaquensis by ocelli smaller, ocelli ocular distance 1.7 x ocellar diameter, eyes larger and more convergent, head height 1.4 x eye height, malar space shorter, malar space length 0.2 x mandible width basally, and antenna with 26–28 flagellomeres.
