In this group, except for H. wrightianum with a wide distribution across Iran, other members including H. halophilum Bornm. & Gauba and H. stenophyllum Rech. f. & Esfand., restricted to centeral Iran, and H. micropterum Bunge ex Boiss. and H. callitrix Bunge ex Boiss. to western and southern Iran. This subgroup is characterized by a mostly sordid corolla of 8‒10 mm long and linear leaflets. This subgroup needs further work with more taxon sampling and utilizing DNA barcoding markers to precisely circumscribe its members.
